Pair of Carpet Pythons mating in a roof
Fighting behaviour is often mistaken for mating by clients in the region, with Carpet Pythons found most often. Snake are actually not often encountered mating as they usually find somewhere private to do the deed, and the act itself is slow. It is not at all like males wrestling each other in territorial disputes.
Our snake catcher Bryce relocated this pair from a roof in Holland Park and relocated them to a more suitable habitat to continue their business.
