Here the keeled scales on a Keelback Snake are obvious
Keelback Snakes have a clear rough keel along their scales, a key feature when trying to identify them. They do look somewhat similar to the venomous Rough Scaled Snake, so we recommend keeping your distance from all snakes and calling a catcher.
This species is well known for eating frogs and are also more capable of eating the poisonous introduced Cane Toad without severe ill effects. They are usually found near water and are occasionally removed from clients’ homes and businesses.
