A beautiful black Eastern Brown Snake removed from Enoggera
This is the perfect example of why colour isn’t a useful tool when identifying snakes. The Eastern Brown in particular is incredibly variable in terms of colour and pattern
They can be brown, black, golden, orange, a salmon colour, even shades of blue. They can have spotting, distinct bands. Some have spots on the belly, and some don’t.
