Floods affect wildlife as well as our modern world-thankfully we rescued some frogs, a turtle and Keelback snake here!

Our snake catcher Bryce was called to a sewer site in Ipswich after staff had discovered several animals trapped after clearly having been washed in during our recent flooding and extreme rains. Some animals are thankfully able to climb out but smooth surfaces are obviously a hazard for turtles and snakes, as well as some frogs. Bryce safely rescued and relocated a Saw Shelled Turtle, Keelback Snake and several Green Tree Frogs from the tiny island poking out of the water in the middle of a sewer pit. Given the Keelback Snake is well known for eating frogs, it’s curious seeing animals huddling together to escape the water.
